So much for a holiday. I have to work on my paper.

Sunday, May 30, 2004

Happy Sunday! I have a paper to work on.

Saturday, May 29, 2004

I did my weekly quick run to the store. I stayed away from going further as I have a paper to work on.

Friday, May 28, 2004

We were allowed to leave a bit early for the holiday weekend!!! That was exciting. I guess I can relax a bit tonight (and run to the store quickly to pickup my orange juice supply), but I have serious work to do on my paper this weekend. It is due next Friday.

Thursday, May 27, 2004

I had to leave early for a dentist appointment. Other than that...

Work on the weekly assignment and paper continues...

Tuesday, May 25, 2004

Busy with the weekly class assignment and paper.

Monday, May 24, 2004

Another week of class begins. The paper is coming due in a few weeks and I have a new set of reading to do. Work should be on the quiet side for a while so that should help keep my brain from overloading.

Sunday, May 23, 2004

With my weekly assignment out of the way, it is down to work on the paper. I get the feeling that is all I will be doing for the next week. I will have a three-day weekend next weekend, so I should be able to get a lot of work done. So much for a holiday.

Saturday, May 22, 2004

I ran my regular errands and now I am off to work on my class assignments. It will not be an exciting weekend.

Friday, May 21, 2004

Happy Friday! All was quiet today. I have a lot of work to get done this weekend. I have to run off the store to get my weekly supply of juice and need to get to work on my weekly reading so I can focus on my paper. Goodness, it is going to be a long weekend. I left the big research binder at home today so I did not have to worry about leaving it in the office over the weekend.

Thursday, May 20, 2004

I have a meeting tomorrow to demo software at my desk. My desk was a complete mess when I started today so I figured that I should tidy up. I made a point of organizing my stacks of paper. I even cleaned up my digital desktop. Not to mention the back of my desk was covered in dust. YUCK! A quick clean does wonders. At least it will not be an embarrassment tomorrow.

Wednesday, May 19, 2004

Today was a pretty quiet day. I ran across a few articles on the web about how to use Moveable Type as a full site (light-weight) content management too. Interesting! As I am trying to find a way to streamline my sites (aside from any blogging functionality), I also wanted to make the edits web-based so I did not have to worry about carting around the files. Interesting. Very Interesting...

Tuesday, May 18, 2004

Our area of the office is busying with activity. Goodness, there are a lot more people around that usual in our normally quiet suite. Sounds like they are going to be around for at least a few more days. We might have some lunch guests tomorrow, as there was not really room for all of them eat where they were meeting. That will be an interesting change.

Monday, May 17, 2004

I finally remembered to change the date on my watch. It only took, what, a week or so. My cell phone seems to have reset itself on its own. Strange. Granted, fixing the date does not help me remember what day it is any better. I think with things being a bit quieter, that should help.

Sunday, May 16, 2004

I spent the better of the day working on my weekly course assignment. I have most of the materials pulled together for my paper. Now I just need to get it compiled. This coming week should be fairly quiet as the deadlines have been met so I should be able to get a lot accomplished. I really do not like carrying the big two-inch binder around. It is heavy.

Saturday, May 15, 2004

Happy Saturday. I get the feeling this weekend is going to fly by (sad). I finished my weekly errands with time to spare and even kept within my budget. Now that was actually exciting. Other than that, I need to get to work on my readings for class as well as my paper.

Friday, May 14, 2004

At least it is not Friday the 13th. I decided to leave the big paper-research binder home today. The idea of leaving it at work or something right before a weekend made me nervous. I figure that I can focus on the readings in the mean time. It is amazing the schedule juggling that one must do when it is a long day with a lot to get done.

Thursday, May 13, 2004

I am still be in the dark about what day it is.

Wednesday, May 12, 2004

I probably should have taken a hint from last night's train ride that I should have stayed home. I get in first thing and cannot reach the Internet. As a web designer-type person, that is pretty important. Ok, so that disrupts things for nearly a half hour. Wouldn't you know that not 5 minutes after the Internet wakes up the fire alarm goes off. This one was not scheduled as there were no signs down in the lobby to warn us. I grabbed my bag and big binder just in case. I cannot risk loosing that thing. We piled into the fire tower (stairway) and just hung out until we got the all clear. A few people made comments about me grabbing all my stuff. You never know and with my luck, it would have been the one time that I should have grabbed it.

Tuesday, May 11, 2004

Nope, still do not know what day it is.

Monday, May 10, 2004

That is strange. Both my watch and cell phone said today was the 9th. Now I am confused. April has 30 days. Ok, so maybe I forgot to fix my watch, but my cell phone should be right. Strange. It is not a good thing to not have a clue what day it is.

Sunday, May 09, 2004

Happy Mother's Day to all the mothers out there. I ended up staying in all day to work on gathering materials for my paper. What do you thing? Will email replace written letters? I have a healthy stack of articles to go through and pull it together. I wonder if I can get myself in gear and really be ahead of the game this time around.

Saturday, May 08, 2004

Aside from doing all the usual weekly errands, I popped into the bookstore quickly today to look for a house buying tips book. I figure it is still a good while off but I want to be prepared. I think I am a bit tech-overloaded at the moment so I want to find a non-tech hobby to help put me back in balance. I found an interesting decorate book that I could probably use a few tips from now. I really would be nicer to live closer to the train station.

Friday, May 07, 2004

Happy Friday everyone! It has been a long week. We finished up all the important stuff we needed to do so there is a feeling of accomplishment at the moment. I think there will also be a bit of stress-release, which will be nice.

Thursday, May 06, 2004

First thing this morning, after getting off the train, I finished my Mother's Day shopping. It is very convenient to have a card store right in the station. Now I just need some wrapping paper but that is pretty small thing. Actually, I can pick that up on Saturday because I want to check out the closet stuff at Target anyway.

Wednesday, May 05, 2004

Had one of those early morning meetings to resolve a question. Did I mention that I am not much of a fan of those? In the end, we decided what was already was done worked best so there would not be any rework necessary. That is a good way to end a meeting, I think.

Tuesday, May 04, 2004

With a meeting yesterday and a meeting tomorrow, things were suprisingly quiet today. Or at least quiet enough for me to get my stuff done. That is always important.

Monday, May 03, 2004

I am not a huge fan of early Monday-morning meetings. One of my office-mates scheduled one to discuss a few topics. Actually, the results of the meeting went well. It was just on the early side.

Sunday, May 02, 2004

I finished my weekly school assignment with about a half hour to spare. I am thinking about reorganizing my closet to be more functional (it is a strange shape). After watching tons of home improvement shows, I think I found a closet system that I can use. I just have no idea how much it will cost to DIY a closet. I will have to check more into it next weekend. In the mean time, I need to get more work done on my paper for class so I can have more free time.

Saturday, May 01, 2004

I finished up all my errands bright and early in the morning. I ran by Target to pick up new pillows (in my quest to get better sleep) before hitting the supermarket for weekly lunch supplies. It was a quiet day otherwise. I did not get as much schoolwork done, as I would have liked. Tomorrow should be better.
